Other Info: Virginia Arts & Letters Live brings together music, literature, and live performance in one exciting evening where Virginia actors read short stories written by Virginia authors.

Hilarie will read “Irregularities,” a short story by Courtney Jones.

Other participants include Clay McLeod Chapman reading his own story, “oldsmobile," Erin Thomas and Larry Cook reading “The Man Who Knew Belle Starr” by Richard Bausch, and Dan Ruth reading “Peace, Brother” by Edward Falco. Musical guests Kelly Kennedy and Mark Rhodes will accompany the Virginia actors as they read these always-intriguing short stories in theatrical and festive surroundings. The event will be recorded live for broadcast by 88.9, WCVE-FM on Thanksgiving evening, November 23rd. With the success of this special holiday broadcast in the past, it is an evening many look forward to “gathering around the radio.”

Audience members will have a fun opportunity to mingle with the artists at a reception following the evening's performances. Books, CDs, and other memorabilia will be available for purchase, along with a cash bar.
