La La: We are closing out Spankin New Presents: Breakout Stars Week, and today we are bringing you the goods.

Damien: That’s right. Uh, no “3 Facts” today, but this is what I will tell you. Last time they were here, nearly shut down Times Square, the cast of One Tree Hill: Miss Hilarie Burton, [La La: Woo hoo!] the rest of the cast [Hilarie: All right!], Chad Michael Murray, the gang are all here. And uh, John Norris, right now, is standing by live outside the Santa Maria Courthouse.

*John Norris gives a quick report*

Hilarie: All right. Thanks a lot, John. That's a whole lot. But if that isn't enough for you, we have Murphy Lee stoppin by with a premiere. We also have NASCAR star: Brian Vickers is coming to hang out with us. And breakout performer Katy Rose is gonna take this very stage right here, trust me you guys are gonna dig her.

La La: Definitely. Let's get into the requests. Kickin' off the countdown, this is a TRL debut. It's Chingy, and check out Rudy from The Cosby Show, she's in this. "One Call Away", #10.

Damien: That was Rudy from The Cosby Show. I didn't even notice that. TRL debut: #10, Chingy, and "One Call Away". Chingy's actually third video to make the countdown. Not bad for him.

Hilarie: That is. Now my cast from One Tree Hill is gettin' ready to come out here and hang out. They were here, what, a month ago? And we had a really good time.

Damien: Unbelievable. [Hilarie: So--] I know they, they pulled by in a limo, and Chad, and they stuck their head out of the limo, it was just pandemonium out there.

Hilarie: The girls do--Girls, do you like Chad? *audience screams* What about Baby James? You guys like James? Yeah? Alright, so, that's what I have to deal with.

Damien: You know, you know, uh, ladies went crazy for this guy yesterday, too, Jason Mraz. He came up here, you missed it. [Hilarie: Oh yeah, I missed it!] He performed. He did a great job, too, and apparently you guys were feelin' him, not just performance wise, but video wise, too. #9, Jason Mraz, "You And I Both", it's a TRL debut. Congratulations Mr. Mraz.

Damien: TRL debut: #9, Jason Mraz, "You And I Both". Good to see it on the countdown. It actually boots out Maroon 5, some other guys who were hanging out, performing on our show Monday. Ah..you know what, you gotta get both those guys on the countdown. More importantly, though, this is your cast here.

Hilarie: It's time, you guys! Alright, I made out with half of this cast, you decide which 2 [Damien: Hah!] for yourselves. Please welcome, Chad Michael Murray, Sophia Bush, James Lafferty, and Bethany Joy Lenz.

*Chad, Sophia, James and Bethany come out to cheers by the audience, while the One Tree Hill theme song plays*

Hilarie: [to Chad] Lots of screamin.

Damien: Not even gonna bother talking over this. I, uh. [Chad: Wow. Good job guys, wow.] I didn't even--I didn't even try to compete with that. I didn't try talking over that. That's for some very loud applause. First of all--

Chad: [to Damien] I wanna hear you screamin.

Damien: Ahh, no, no you do not. [Hilarie giggles] It's a very girlish scream, it'll sound just like her right there. *points to the audience* First of all guys, just congratulations on the show. There's billboards all over New York City, it's on cabs [Bethany: I know weird, right.] it's on buses, it's absolutely insane. Ah, Chad, what's it like-didyou-what's it like working on such a successful show? Is it thrilling to you? Is this cool?

Chad: Umm, well it's kinda funny, cause we're, we're kinda down in like, little city Wilmington, you know. It's not very big, [Damien: Sure.] so we don't really get to see the, the effect it has on everybody, and it's kinda nice, cause when we come to New York, we get to see all these beautiful people, and see what they feel about the show, and how much they love it. That's the best part.

Damien: You get to feel the love. Now Hil, [Chad: Oh yeah.] the show is about 2 half-brothers [Hilarie: Yes.] get us up to speed on what's happenin' on it right now.

Hilarie: Alright. Right now, this is what's going on: Mine and Sophia's character, we're best friends, but we're both in love with Lucas. Lucas has to pick between us, and then [Bethany: Drama!] Joy, eh, Bethany and James' characters, you guys are in love, but what's gonna happen between the two of you! Your parents are going through turmoil, James. So, lots of drama, drama, drama.

Damien: A lot of drama. And now, Sophia, you guys have had a little bit of a break, but uh, this Tuesday is a big show. What have we packed into the show on Tuesday?

Sophia: Well Tuesday's a major deal, kinda like Hilarie's saying, he's gotta choose between the two of us, between Brooke and Peyton. Um..

Damien: This is a big choice.

Sophia: Yeah. Yeah, it's, it's a [Hilarie: Very big choice.] major [Chad: Cliffhanger.] deal in our, you know, web, as the bost-posters say. Umm, [Bethany: Haha. Nice, linking that in.] so you know, everybody, everybody gets to figure out how that goes. And you guys [to Bethany and James] get to be supercute some more, so. [Damien: We don't-] That's always nice.

Damien: [to Chad] We don't get any hints on who you choose?

Chad: You know, I don't think a choice gets made. I don't even know who I choose, so ah [Hilarie: We shot it so long ago,] Enjoy!

Hilarie: ...do you remember?

Chad: Dude, we shot that before Christmas break. [Hilarie: Yeah] I don't, I don't remember.

Damien: Alright, that's okay. We got ah, [Chad: It's fun, though. My favorite episode, actually.] more with the cast right here...Actually, let's take a little clip, a look at a clip here, that we got. Uh, this is, this is Chad and Sophia, you guys in action, doing the "acting" thing. Let's take a look. One Tree Hill here.

Damien: Haha. Yeah! Good times. Alright, we gotta take a break, we're gonna take a break [Sophia: That is so painful!] more with the cast of One Tree Hill coming up, we're proud of you guys. And also, more with John Norris...

*commercial break*

Damien: A ton of people hanging outside, on Broadway. Wantin' to see you guys, cast of One Tree Hill. Congratulations again on the success. James, I gotta ask this question to you. This is kinda a question that's gonna cater to all the ladies in the audience, and all the ladies across America. *audience cheering* Youngest guy--[Chad: Yeahhh James!!] (to the audience) I'll ask the question, then you can cheer. Um, you're the youngest guy in the cast, what's it like kissing on screen, in front of a camera, as oppose to kissing off screen when, you know, you're in your private time, and off camera? [Hilarie: Yeah, James?] Ladies wanna know this.

James: I mean, when you kiss on camera, it's really like, [Bethany: It's so technical.] It is. [Damien: Is it really?] It's very technical. There's a lot of things you gotta think about. There's like lighting issues, you can't block the other person, and you--I mean,

Damien: So do you have to do it again and again? I mean, I would think--I would like that. That's, that would excite me. *audience laughs* [Bethany: But,]

James: Sometimes you have to do it, you know, again and again. But it's like, you know, it's a job. You gotta do it, so.. [Damien: Right.] I--

Chad: Can I tell a story?

Damien: Go ahead, go ahead Chad. [Bethany: Oh no] Feel free.

Chad: Do you remember back in the Pilot, James? [Bethany: Oh, gotcha.] When you came back, and you guys had the first kissing scene, back in the Pilot. [Hilarie: Alright.] I gotta say, I gotta say it was great. It was great. [Damien laughs] And James runs out, James runs out, and this kinda thrown in at the last minute, and James runs out, and Mark Schwahn, our writer and creator, he's sittin back stage. And James just runs out and goes, *whispering* "Thank you, Schwahn." *audience laughing*

Damien: Nooo!

Chad: And then runs away!

Hilarie: What's up James? Seriously, later on. We'll hang out.

Damien: Congratulations Chad, [James: I'm a fan, you know.] you've, you've awarded yourself a, a gift certificate to an ass beating by James!

*whole cast laughs*

Hilarie: Now obviously--

Chad: He is bigger than me. [Damien: That's alright.]

Hilarie: We all hang out down on the set of One Tree Hill, but you guys, are on my turf right now. And it's totally different bein' and actor and bein' a VJ. So, I'm gonna put a couple of you to the test. You know what, I think, Bethany, James. You guys are gonna be my guinea pigs. Would you guys wanna try to be VJ's?

Bethany: I would love it! [Hilarie: Yeah?] Definitely.

James: Sure.

Hilarie: Not easy. Alright, well I'm gonna give them the chance in just a little bit, it's live TV, so anything can happen, so just mentally prepare yourselves. In the meantime, we're gonna go ahead and get back to the requests. You guys voted it up 2 from yesterday, it's #8: Twista, "Slo Jamz", check it out.

Hilarie: Alright, hey, what's going on you guys. Just keep a heads up, when we come out of video, we have planted a wild One Tree Hill fan in the audience, to give a little hell to my actor friends, while they try to VJ. So keep a look out, and enjoy.

Bethany: That was #7: Hilary Duff, "Come Clean". I love that song, there's something about it. That video is slowly climbing up the countdown. Now, James and I are getting our shot at veejaying, while the others [James: Yes we are.] watch from the bleachers, Hi guys! Hah, woo! James, is this tougher than acting? I think it's, [James: Well,] it's pretty close.

James: Yeahh, you know...I think I'm gonna leave this whole uh, VJ thing to you, [Bethany: Okay.] Hilarie. [Bethany: Theatre rat, good.] We're gonna take a quick break right now, * "Wild OTH fan" asks for a hug* but uh, there's a lot of breakout stars to come back. So uh, you know. Stick around.

Bethany: Stick around!

Hilarie: Real quick, real quick. This is Justin. We planted him just to give you guys some hell while you were veejaying. He's a real One Tree Hill fan, Bethany give him a hug! Alright, that's right, we're gonna take a break right now. Nice to give my friends some hell, don't go anywhere, TRL will be right back.

*commercial break. #6: G-Unit's "Them Thangs" video plays. Damien chats with Katy Rose. #5: Good Charlotte's "Hold On" video plays*

Hilarie: Alright, #5 video in the country, Good Charlotte, "Hold On", not too long ago, they were breakout stars, and now they're all over the place. They've blown up. And our show is very music based, One Tree Hill. Um, and we actually have our own breakout star that's gonna be performing this Tuesday, Sof, tell them what we have in store for our episode this Tuesday.

Sophia: This Tuesday, you're actually gonna get to see Gavin Degraw [Hilarie: Woo!] on our episode. [Hilarie: Very good performance. He was fun, right?] He is absolutely amazing. His album, Chariot, is doing really well. And he, as some of you know, sings our theme song, [Hilarie: That's right.] and uh, in general he just kinda kicks butt, so we're excited to have him.

Hilarie: Yeah, you guys have to tune in for that, that's Tuesday. Now, TRL's been giving you performances all week long from breakout stars, and today we have a real treat for you, performing "Overdrive", you guys, make some noise for Katy Rose.

Hilarie: Alright! You guys, give it up one more time for Katy Rose, here! Katy, thanks so much for coming by, that was a great performance. Good to have you here on Breakout Stars Week. And thank you to my cast mates from One Tree Hill. They're headed over to Planet Hollywood, across the street right now, for a signing. I'm gonna meet you guys right after TRL. And Gavin Degraw's performing, so if you're in the area, come check us out. I'll see you guys over there. Right now, we're gonna take another break, but La La is bringing out Murphy Lee, his new video is awesome. And we're gonna introduce you to Brian Vickers, the youngest driver on the NASCAR circuit. And Damien's going to race him. Literally. Don't go anywhere, Breakout Stars Week is nowhere near being over yet.

Hilarie: #3, blink-182 with "Feeling This". Finishing up the week, it's a great video, one of my favorites. Now we have our final breakout star for the week. It is a NASCAR phenom, only 20 years old, you guys, give it up for Brian Vickers

*Brian Vickers comes out to Metallica's "Fuel" song*

Hilarie: How are you man? Welcome. *Brian and Hilarie hug* Here, come on right over here. *points to her left* Come hang out over here. Good to have you here. It's unbelievable what you do, driving cars at that speed. Now, right off the bat, you're in that car for hours and hours and hours, now what happens when you need to make, you know, like a personal pit-stop?

Brian: I knew this was coming...personal pit-stop. [Hilarie: It's the number one question.] I hold it. Not everybody does, though.

Hilarie: You gotta hold it?

Brian: I hold it for 4 hours.

Hilarie: Wait, but what does everybody else do?

Brian: Like, you sweat a lot, too. [Hilarie: Okay.] I lose like 10 pounds a race. [Hilarie: Really!] So, most of it will just sweat off.

Hilarie: So if you're gonna go to prom, and need to fit in your dress, you should just drive a car for a couple of hours.

Brian: Exactly.

Hilarie: Alright, good to know.

Brian: Just take a ride with me.

Hilarie: So you're saying that other people let it go, in the car?

Brian: Some of um do.

Hilarie: Any names?

Brian: No. *laughs*

Hilarie: No, no no. That's drivers' secret. But, wait, what happens when they win, then? They gotta get out and like cheer, and they like got... *looks down at her pants*

Brian: Well that's when you take out the Gatorade. You take the Gatorade, and you pour it on your lap, and you just look wet all over. *audience laughs*

Hilarie: Is that something they teach you?

Brian: No, that's just what I heard. [Hilarie: Okay, alright.] Cause I don't do that.

Hilarie: Good to know. Now, you're only 20 years old, and last season became NASCAR's youngest champion ever, Congratulations on that. That's unbelievable. I even heard that you skipped your high school prom to enter a race. Was your girlfriend pissed?

Brian: Well, she was already graduated college, so, [Hilarie: Oh!] she wasn't really too concerned [Hilarie: Older ladies.] about it.

Hilarie: Hmm, you like older girls? [Brian: A little older ladies.] A little older, alright. Good to know. Now, on February 15th, you were in the "Super Bowl" of car racing. You're doing Daytona 500, right here on TRL, are you gonna get the checkered flag?

Brian: That's the idea. [Hilarie: The idea.] Not only the checkered flag, but take it first.

Hilarie: All right. You're gonna take it? [Brian: Yeah, I am.] *to the audience* Alright, who wants to put money on it? You guys got him? I got him. All bets are on you, dude. Congratulations, we're gonna have you hang out with us some more, we have to take our last break, but don't go away. Cause when we get back, we have more with Brian here, including a death defying stunt, you definitely don't wanna miss it. Apparently Damien is gonna challenge you to a head to head race, hopefully he brought his helmet. And we'll see if Britney can knock out Clay outta the top spot. Don't go anywhere, TRL is coming right back.

Hilarie: Welcome back to TRL. Wrapping up a big week here and MTV. It is Breakout Stars Week, and we're very lucky to have with us here, NASCAR driver, Brian Vickers. And we thought we'd give you guys a taste of what he goes through. Now since we can't quite fit uh, racecars in the studio [Damien: Hands off, Vickers.] We have the next best thing, these boys have been battling already. We have Rascal Scooters here. The D-Man has challenged Brian to a high speed race around the studio. [Damien: High speed.] Boys. Are you--I see [Damien: We're going at least 4] you're messin' with each other's equipment.

Damien: We're going at least 4 M-P-H's around here, and it's, honestly it's the "Super Bowl" of uh, electronic scooter racing. I hope you're ready, Vickers.

Hilarie: Yeah? *to Brian* Have you ever operated one of these?

Brian: No I haven't, but I seen it.

Hilarie: Alright, it's on you boys. You guys, it's gonna be thrilling. Hold on tight, La La is at the finish line waiting for them. Boys, you ready to go?

Damien: It's on!!

Brian: Let's go!

Hilarie: Ready? Alright. On your marks, get set, go!

*Brian beats Damien, sprays sparkling cider around. #2: Britney's "Toxic" video plays*

Damien: That's it, I don't know what to say, I got beat. Now I smell like apple juice.

Hilarie: You look good wet, though.

Damien: It's okay.

La La: Yes, thank you so much for coming by. And make sure you watch next Monday, we've got a cheerleading competition out in Times Square, with special guest judge, Camp Jim star, Jim. [Hilarie: Camp Jim, kim.] [Damien: Jim McMullan.] Camp Jim star, Jim McMullan. [Damien: Camp Jim!] Yeah him. 5 cheerleading squads will go head to head for the official title, we're calling it Camp TRL. It's gonna be off the hook, so make sure you tune in.

Hilarie: I can't wait to see the cheerleaders. I wanna see fingernails comin' off, I wanna see hair flying, [La La: Yeah it's gonna be crazy] earrings coming out, it's gonna be good. And of course the fellas love watchin' the ladies, too. [Brian: Absolutely.] Right now-- *puts arm around Brian* Absolutely! We've got your top request today. Clay fans are voting like it's their job, it's #1: Clay Aiken, "Invisible".
